Bocce Ball Rules

Playing Field
Play this game anywhere there is open space.  You can play this game in the yard, beach or parking lot, you could even play on a hill or unleveled playing area to add a little challenge  to the game.  Your imagination is the limit.

Equipment
You will need Bocce Ball Set, this includes 8 large balls and 1 small ball (pallino).

Players
You can play with 2,4, or 8 players. The large bocce balls will be divided up evenly among the players, more than likely the bocce balls will contain either different colors or designs to help the players differentiate them apart during play.

Beginning Play
Choose a player randomly to throw the pallino. After the pallino is thrown that same player will throw his/her bocce ball.  The goal of the game is to get your bocce ball as close to the pallino as possible. The person closest to the pallino is consider “inside” and the other players are “outside”.  Whom ever bocce ball is closest to the pallino (inside)will forfiet their turn and the other players will continue to throw until they have replaced the current “inside” player (getting closer than them to the pallino).

After all players have thrown their bocce balls the player that is considered the “inside” player will receive 1 point for every bocce ball that is closer to pallino than his opponents bocce ball.  After points are awarded the frame is completed.

Select a new player to throw the pallino and the a new frame begins, when a player reaches 13 points the game is over.  You can decrease or increase the point levels required to win.
